FAQ

If I go to the chiropractor once, will I have to go forever?

We hope that you enjoy chiropractic care for as long as it continues to serve you. At the Integrate Center we want you to have autonomy + sovereignty in your healthcare choices for you and your family. Most of our community continues to come back simply because of the incredible changes they have witnessed either in themselves or their family members. Chiropractors may recommend continual care, especially in the beginning and it’s simply because they understand the power of chiropractic – in living with no interference between brain and body, we experience coherence + harmony, and the healing potential is working.

Is is safe for my child to get adjusted?

The copious amounts of research + case study/personal experiences are continually emerging to prove the safety and efficacy of chiropractic care for children + babies. Dr. Abbe loves seeing the pediatric population and has done extensive training to prepare her in caring for them. Many are brought to the Integrate Center from parents who have been under care already, and at the beginning of life in order to get checked and begin life free of interference. The regulation of mom/dad is vital for co-regulation of baby in so many vital ways. Additionally, there are numerous conservative ways through chiropractic of approaching a babies system to innately heal almost anything.

What might I experience after my first adjustment?

This totally depends on your systems resilience to change and the health of your tissues. Some may experience mild soreness, in all the right places. This simply means that energy + inflammation has moved from its lodged place ~ movement is life. Some may experience extreme tiredness as they drop out of a stress response into a more rest response for the first time in a long while, + report that they slept better than they have been! Some experience a lift of energy, spark of life and tremendous amounts of energy running through their system, quite immediately! None of these are better than the other, and they are unique to your experience. Trust your intuition.

If I don’t have symptoms or experience any pain, why see the chiropractor?

This is my favorite question. Remember, we are a vitalistic health care paradigm, so we don’t focus on the symptoms/pain, rather chiropractic is a catalyst for the life force energy in the system. So if you are experiencing no symptoms at all, thats fantastic! What this highlights is regulating your system is necessary to continuing living so free of interference. We value consistency in care and our nervous system focused practice understands the complexity to our mind-body continuum and appreciates that we heal in layers. We recommend regular attunements to continue living in a healthy way.

Community style adjusting; what is it and why?

While receiving chiropractic care, you will most often be getting checked next to other practice members or with your family in our community adjusting space. The open feel is an amazing opportunity to gather more energy to heal in community, and is a powerful thing to know that you are not alone + isolated in your thoughts/feelings. It may also be surprising how much you learn from hearing our mini education talks with the chiropractor + others’ as perhaps we all share their stories, struggles and triumphs. This approach also gives you time to integrate during the adjustment – an opportunity to feel in, be present and just notice. With family, allows a greater sense of awareness of familial connection/disconnections + patterns. With kids, its a great way to co-regulate and practice our nervous system regulating skills together as most likely, you will be at home together.

Do you offer in-home visits?

Yes!
Cases where this is recommended would be in the pregnancy season after given birth. We offer in-home visits with an additional travel fee. We are capable of applying one of your existing package adjustments + babies first visit is included in the visit! If you do not have a package, we would apply the value of an adjustment. Another opportunity would be if you are unable to physically get to our office and up the stairs, we would be happy to serve you in your home.

Do you take Insurance?

We seek to honor the individual and their needs rather than have our healthcare be dictated by insurance providers. Many families utilize our office as their primary health care – a holistic, wellness + preventative approach that allows for great relationship in health.

Although, yes we can take some out of network covered insurance policies with a low deductible (less than $1000), if you find yourself in this category, and are interested please ask us for further assistance. If you do not qualify for the insurance policy listed above, although would prefer a super bill, we are happy to provide you with the necessary documentation to be reimbursed on your own. The practice has the right to deny any insurance policy coverage use at any time.

Payments are due at the time of service or as agreed upon at the beginning of your care. All practice members are required to keep a credit or debit card on file. We accept cash, credit cards, and debit cards (including HSA and FSA). We are always open to honest conversations regarding finances and the hope is that those that can afford more will pay more, and those that have limited availability will pay what they can.

Medicare Policy:

If you are a Medicare beneficiary, you understand that our licensed chiropractors are not enrolled as Medicare providers. Medicare has implemented technical and administrative requirements that must be met for services to be considered “medically necessary” covered benefits. We believe those requirements take unnecessary time away from the services we provide to our community. Since we are not enrolled providers, we cannot submit claims to Medicare and Medicare will not pay for our services. If you prefer a medicare enrolled provider, you have the right to seek one. Therefore, by choosing our services, you are exercising your right to privacy and electing, of your own free will, not to use your Medicare benefits. As such, you are agreeing to pay cash at the time of service for all services you elect to receive from us with no expectation that Medicare will reimburse you. You understand that we will not submit claims to Medicare on your behalf or provide you with a statement or billing codes that you can submit to Medicare yourself. Senior cash rate discounts are available.
